Making The Britney Video

1) What do you think you learnt from the Britney planning and filming experience? It could be specific things about making a music video OR general things about the production process.

Having planned and filmed the Britney video it enable me to see how much planning you have to do. The different things you have to consider when planning like weather, location, if people are avaliable, what if people dont turn up, the camera isnt charged and many more. It is alot more work then I first thought.
Also the filming is fun but very frustrating. People start laughing or are too shy in front of the camera. Many takes are needed to get the perfect shot. But it was funny it was good getting into the characters and watching over the hard work we put in. I found the lip sinking very hard but when it comes to my own music video the words will me memorised better and more confidence will go into the performance.

2) For you, what was the best bit?

The best bit I thought was filming. I like bringing in my own ideas and voicing my opinions which I was able to do when filming as I could see exactly what it looked liked. It helped the people performing to see where they was going wrong and how they could improve. Experimenting with different camera shots and angle has given more confidence to my own music video.

3) How do you think the work we have done will impact on your group project?

I am glad we got the chance to do this group project as it gave us a taster of what our actually coursework would be like. It alloud us to make silly mistakes that can now be prevented in the real thing. It gave us a better idea of timing and how to use the camera and different shots. We was able to work with different people and as a team which again will be good experience when it comes to the coursework.
