Album Cover Analysis of Omarion

O is the first solo album of Omarion. He used to be in an R&B band called B2K and then decided to carry on, on making and singing his own music.
You can tell from the front cover of his album that his music if of and R&B genre. This is due to type of person who is his; he is a black male around the age of 21 which is typical of an R&B artist. Also due to the fact he used to be in a band before so fans how already know of him will know the music he is into. The simplicity of the cover also reflects they genre of his music.
The album cover itself has very little going on, it has a plain background – half being black and the other half white. There is only one person in the foreground of Omarion himself, which is a medium close up. His body language is very serious and quite cocky properly because of the effect he wants people to have when listening to his music and making sure they do take him seriously. This is common in many new artists. The clothes that he wears again are very simple just a black vest and black hat. Normally R&B artists like to wear flashy clothes as money is a big part of there genre and although his clothes aren’t ‘flash’ he is wearing two large diamond ear rings.
A typical Omarion fan would be, a teenage girl who fancies him. She would have lots of girlfriends and would care about her appearance. Other artists that she would like would be Ne-Yo, Akon and Beyonce. In her spare time she would go shopping, cinema and bowling. Films that she would watch would include Honey and Adulthood
