Album Cover Analysis of B*Witched

Bwitched is a pop band which includes 4 young girls from Ireland – Sinead O’Carroll, Edele and Keavy Lynch and Lindsay Armaou. Who were successful around 1998. At the time the girls must have been around 19, 20. They were all very pretty and were similar to typical girl bands like Spice Girls who promoted ‘girl power’.
From looking at the front cover you can tell there are a pop band because of the bright and colourful background. The warm orange colour makes you feel happy and energized. The girls pose also reflects its genre with them having fun jumping into the air. The expression from the girls faces shows them having fun and the clothes which they are wearing are all very bright and fans would copy there trend.
The title of the album is just B*Witched which is the name of the band itself. This is because there was a new band at the time and needed to promote them as a band rather then anything else. It’s simple and easy to remember again because they are a new band and it will catch on more.
A typical fan would look up to these girl and be inspired by what they do. Young girls from 6-14, girly girls who like wearing dresses and borrowing mums handbag. They would think they were more grown up then they actually are like going out with friends. Have girly sleep over where they sing in the mirrors with a hairbrush.
